This session was my last session and also possibly my very favorite session of the year.  I’m not going to write much as it’s nearing midnight and I’m drained in the final stretch of the holiday rush… I’ll let the images speak for themselves.

I just loved this session!  Pretty red holiday dresses, pretty red hair, and just a bunch of sweet little girl smiles.  What a joy this family was to photograph.  I might have to ask their daughters to give my daughters some lessons. ;)

A few weeks ago “Taylor’s Mom” contacted me about a Holiday Session for her family.  Taylor is my daughter’s BFF.  Sweetest thing ever = Taylor showed up wearing the “Best Friend” bracelet that Claire gave her earlier in the year.  When I showed Claire the photos and pointed out that Taylor was wearing the bracelet she tilted her head to the side and said “Awwwwwwww, I just *love* her.”  Haha!

Last year I photographed the lovely Kate, her husband Damian, and their two gorgeous children.  Last year, Kate was a stranger who emailed me about booking a session.  She and her family had just moved here from Australia and she sent me a message explaining she was a photographer, and not “in business” since the move.  She felt my work was really her style and off we went to the hills!  You can see her 2010 session here.

Well, a lot sure happened in one year!  This year, Kate not only attended my wedding, but also photographed the Birth of my daughter, Molly.  Which you can see here.

I am SO happy to have become friends with Kate, and so thankful to have her in my life.  It was a pleasure photographing her family again this year.

Jed is an old friend and I was so excited when he contacted me about booking a session for his wife’s birthday.  I had SUCH a blast.  They are hilarious, fun to be around and their love for one another is SO evident.  I hope this is the first time of many I get to see you two.  :)  Enjoy your photos.

Miss Alexis and her mama joined me for a Mini Session a few days ago.  The sky was gloomy, but Alexis was not!  What a perfect little model she was, inventing all of her own poses and just a darling girl smiling at the camera.  I could have taken her picture ALL. DAY.  We even managed to get a bit of sun… for about 30 seconds. :)

I met up with this *gorgeous* family last weekend for a Holiday Family Session.  These children are amongst the most beautiful children I’ve ever photographed.  I had such a blast and I hope they did too.  :)

We lucked out with some beautiful weather on a sunny fall day.  Literally as I was driving home the dark clouds were rolling in!

My most recent “Mom” client.

This session was special to me.  Catie was born two days after my little brother.  I remember when she was born, because her older sister is a friend of mine.  Then years later, I took Catie’s engagement photos with her then Fiance (now husband and baby daddy), Chad.  And now, there’s a very good chance that Catie’s baby will be born two days after *my* baby – and she chose me to take her maternity photos. :)

Catie and I headed out into a new yellow flower field last week.  We encountered these gross spiky thorny weeds that stick up in your pants and down in your shoes, and are just completely awful.  And bugs.  Yep, there were bugs.  Then the part where Catie almost fainted.  Um, twice.  Followed by me literally not being able to get out of bed the next day because of severe back pain.  See, this is what happens when two preggies in their third trimester go venturing out in a field taking pictures.

Thank you, Catie, for choosing me to photograph you and your perfect belly.  I feel like things have come full circle and it’s so awesome to watch you become a mother.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

They were racing and I said “If you’re the fastest swimmer, smile for the camera….!”

Obviously Claire is the fastest swimmer.

Five times in a row she kept saying “One more time??? PLEASEEEEEEEEE?????”

And of course there was always “one more time”.
