I met up with Kris and Mac and their two darling children last night.  They are in California on vacation and wanted to capture some photos of their adorable family hanging at he beach.  This was my first session back to work after my c-section and I was a little nervous.  Luckily their children were AMAZINGLY well behaved and I didn’t have to run around chasing them down like I do my own child.

Michael was a sweet boy, and just so joyful.  This was his first time at the beach and he just couldn’t stop playing with the sand.  I love that something as simple as sand can be so mesmerizing to a child.  Madeline was basically a photographer’s dream.  She loved to pose, but at the same time she was so *real*.  You can tell she’ll grow up to be a very genuine and passionate person, you can see it in her eyes.  Kris and Mac were super fun and so happy. It’s too bad they live half way across the country or I might make them be my friends. ;)

Thank you so much Kris and family for choosing me to photograph your beach trip!  I truly had a blast, you made my transition back into the working world so pleasant.  Enjoy your sneak peek…

This is my last official week of Maternity Leave and I’m itching to get back to work! I’m starting to line up a ton of sessions for September.  Last year September was my busiest month, and it’s looking like it going to be again this year.  If you’re thinking of booking a Holiday Session this year, do it SOON before all the good slots fill up!  I have a gorgeous location that looks AMAZING in September and October. Also – If you have a friend who’s looking for a photographer, be sure to ask me about my referral program.  Well, I guess it’s less of a “program” and more of a “make your friend book a session so you can get money and free things”. ;)  Speaking of free things…

Are you expecting?

If you or someone you know lives in the Los Angeles Area and is due to have a baby in the month of November or December, email me, or send them my way.  I have five slots open as complimentary “Fresh Faces” sessions for Newborn Lifestyle Photography.  The session must take place in the clients home with a casual, lifestyle approach (i.e. photos of your family and your baby with minimal posing).  For consideration please submit the following to katie@clairealysephotography.com 1. Due date and gender (if known) 2. Ages of siblings (if any) 3. Photo of the inside of your home taken during the day 4. Photo of your family.

Recipients of the fresh faces sessions will receive a complimentary 1-3 hour Newborn Lifestyle Session and High Resolution Digital Images with Print Release of all Gallery Images (total value of $1650)
